Never Settle for a Home You Don't Love

When I was finally ready to purchase my first home after I graduated from college and found a stable job, I was on a tight budget. I settled for a house that was "good enough" for the time-being, but knew that in the future I would move to a larger one. Once I met my wife and she moved in, we thought about moving but loved the location of our home and had made great friends with the neighbors. For years, we thought we had "to settle" with the home we had since we didn't want to move, but recently, we decided to have several of our rooms remodeled. We are now in love with our home and think everyone should live in a home they love! We decided to start a blog to share what we learned about home construction and remodeling during the process!

Types Of Pool Enclosures To Consider For Increasing Enjoyment Of Your Backyard Pool

A pool enclosure allows you to get more use out of your pool and it helps keep your pool cleaner too. An enclosure could be a good investment for your pool that will allow your family to get more fun time in the water. Here are some options in pool enclosures for you to consider.

Screen Pool Enclosures

A screen enclosure is perfect for keeping mosquitoes and other pests at bay. If you work late, you may get home in the evening and wish you could swim, but by then the mosquitoes may be too bad to even go outside. When you have a screen enclosure, you can swim at any time of the day or night and not worry about mosquitoes biting you. Screen enclosures can also provide some privacy if you choose dark screens, and you can customize the enclosure to your liking. You might want a light-colored aluminum frame and light screen so the enclosure fades into the surroundings or you may prefer a dark frame and screening. You can even choose a screen enclosure with a screen roof or covered roof in case you want full protection from the sun and additional roof support. However, if it's sun protection you want, the screen itself can also provide some protection from UV rays while allowing the sun to filter through.

Retractable Pool Enclosures

Retractable pool enclosures are usually made of polycarbonate which is clear like glass but it's more durable. These enclosures make it possible to swim during the winter. They can turn your pool into an indoor pool when they're closed, and when the weather is nice, you can open the enclosure and enjoy the outside air. These enclosures can be pushed back manually or by a motor. They come in different heights, too. Some are low to the pool and arch over the pool so you have room to walk and swim, but the enclosure has a low profile in your yard. Retractable enclosures can also be more spacious and have ample room for jumping and diving as well as plenty of deck space for lounging.

Glass Pool Enclosures

Glass pool enclosures double as sunrooms. A glass enclosure allows you to swim during all seasons of the year and the glass keeps leaves and pests out of your pool. You might have a glass enclosure installed that allows you to open some windows for a breeze on nice days or the enclosure can be made of glass only. The glass can be tinted to reflect UV rays so you can swim without worrying about sun exposure. One of these enclosures could be like having an additional room in your house.

There are many choices in pool enclosures that affect how the enclosure looks on your property and how you can use your enclosure. You can attach yours to your house to provide additional covered living space or you can have an enclosure built that's free standing. No matter what kind of enclosure you get, you'll enjoy the many benefits of having a covered pool and freedom from pests while you swim.
